DIY acne face mask

Hello!

Today am sharing with you guys a home made mask for face acne, from ingredients that we all have access to in our kitchen, which is honey and cinnamon.

What does it do? It helps heal blemishes, prevent blemishes from getting bigger, moisturizes, softens, and adds a glow to the skin. Moreover, it can de-clog pores and bring oxygen and blood to your face.

What you need:
Two tea spoons honey
One tea spoon cinnamon
A lemon

Directions:
Add the honey and the cinnamon in a bowl and mix them well. If the mixture was too think add more honey to it.

Application:
Spread the mask on your face with your finger tips or a spoon, leave it for 15-20 minutes. When the time is done, wet your hands with some water and start massaging your face with your fingers in a circular motion. This massage rises the blood flood to your face skin cells and is very beneficial. Repeat this twice or more if needed. The mask should be half removed now with your wet hands and that massage now. Finally, wash your face with lukewarm water to completely remove the mask.

For better results:
After washing off the mask and drying your face, slice a lemon in to halves. Rub one of the half lemons all over your face and make sure the juice covers your skin well. Dry your face with a tissue and don't wash your face for a while. Note: Lemon might make irritation for your skin so if you faced that you can skip this part. Also, If you are going to go out or your skin is going to be under the sun then avoid doing this

Here are some great benefits of the ingredients used in the mask:
Honey is full of antioxidant which is good for wrinkles and ageing skin. It is also a great source for antibacterial. Unclogging pores and opening them is an extra task. It works as a moisturizer, exfoliates and dissolves makeup residue. And not to forget the glow and smoothness that it gives to your skin after applying it.

Lemon juice helps removing dead skin cells thus also avoids blackheads and encourages new skin cell growth. Also, it helps to get rid of acne marks and scars.
Lemon juice has influential bleaching properties so, it is often used for whitening face. Lastly, it contains vitamins which are good for facial skin.

Cinnamon is said to help with treatment of acne and pimples. Since cinnamon increases collagen levels, it helps reducing signs of aging.

Warning: There are different type of skins and some are very sensitive so, if you're one of those you should do a patch test first to make sure you don't get a reaction to either of the ingredients.

I have seen instant progress myself after using it, but it might need a few times to give you best results. You can use it daily but if you can not then, twice or three times a week would be great :)

Give me feedback about the results ;)

DIY Jewelry Box

Hello beautiful ladies
Today I am making a tutorial about how to make your own jewelry box!
I recently made one for myself and wanted to share it with you guys because am sure many of you would love to make it ;)

What you need:
Pen, ruler, sponge, a box, fabric, cutter ( anything sharp to cut with).

Directions:
Firstly, you need a pen and a ruler to draw lines on the sponge and select where you want to cut with a cutter.

It is up to you how much space you want between the lines. Make sure that the lines are not too close, and that there is enough room for the accessories to fit in.

Secondly, cut through the lines that you have drawn with the pen. Be careful not to cut the lines too deep.

Thirdly, cover the sponge with any fabric that you like, and fill in the sponges lines with the fabric.

Lastly, you can glue the sides of the fabric with the sponge. Then, put it in the box.

Now you have your own Jewelry Box!

Detox Waters

Hi dear readers!
I hope everyone is healthy and in a good mood :)
Being healthy is really what is most important in life, no matter what happens health should be your number one priority.

If you are one of those who have these symptoms (tiredness, skin blemishes, dull hair and eyes) then it is obvious that your body is not working as it is supposed to be.
Our bodies has many internal systems to eliminate toxins which include liver, kidneys, and skin. However, as a result of accumulation of toxins within our body these systems sometimes fail to do their job properly.
In this case, we need to help our bodies and build our immune system. One of the best ways to do so is Detoxing, which helps cleansing and balancing our body.

Here are some benefits of Detox waters:

Benefits to your cardiovascular system such as, lowering blood pressure levels, reduce blood fat levels, and improved liver organ function.

Improved digestive functions

Balance your hormones

Improved immunity

Skin and anti-ageing: clears the skin, helps reduce bad body odor, and  avoid premature ageing.

There are many Detoxing methods, but the one that I find most easier is detox waters.
I drink detox water myself and certainly feel much better. There are different recipes for detox water, you can use the one that you like!

There are many recipes with different ingredients, you can search for the ingredient that you like the most!

Here is the recipe for Cucumber and Lemons Detox water.

What you need:
500 ml Water
2 Lemons
1 medium Cucumber

Directions:
Thinly slice one lemon and the cucumber. Juice the other lemon and mix it with the water. Add all the ingredients to a jar or a bottle. Leave it in the fridge over night for best results.
If you do not like the flavor you can play with the portions. For example, adding less lemon or more.
PS: if it tastes too bitter for you, you can try pealing the lemon before slicing.

You can drink it whenever you like to and as much as you want. However, starting your day with a glass of detox waters would be better.

Storage:
You can save it in the fridge for 3 days. Change the lemon and cucumber slices with fresh ones if they are no longer floating in the bottle, if they looked translucent, or if they no longer provide enough flavor.

Take care and stay healthy ^_^

Skin tone & under tone

Do you know your skin tone and undertone?! Many people don't actually know it, but it is very vital to do.
Your skin tone & undertone decides what color shades look good on you and flatter your skin ( whether makeup, clothes, or accessories.)
It is very simply to find out, all what you need is to follow a few steps. So lets begin!
First of all, you need to understand that skin tone & undertone are two very different things. Skin tone is your skin color, but skin undertone are the colors within your skin.

You first needs to ask yourself some question to find out your SKIN TONE!

Do I burn easily under the sun? If yes, then you have a Light (fair) skin tone.
Do I tanned then burn under the sun? If yes, then you have a Medium skin tone.
Finally, If you do not get burned or tanned under the sun, then you are have Deep or Dark skin tone.

(Please not that skin tones varies with races)
Light skin tone

Medium skin tone

Dark skin tone

After figuring out your skin tone, you need to find out your skin undertone too!
These are some of the methods to do so:

  • Wash your face with warm water (your face needs to be completely bare and clean of makeup)
  • After drying your face, make sure that you don't wear any kind moisturizer or creams.
  • Wait for 15 minutes to let your face be at its most natural state.
  • Check out your wrest vessels. If they tend to look bluish , your skins undertone is a cool color. If its closer to green then it is a warm color.
  • Bring a white paper ( it is better to be at a place where there is day light) hold the paper next to your face and compare your faces color comparing to the papers color. If your face looks yellow or kind of golden comparing to the paper, your undertone is a warm color. However, if your face color looks pinkish then it is a cool color.
  •  Try on two different bracelets, one of them silver, and the other golden. If the silver looks better on you, then you have a cool color. If not, then it is a warm color because golden colors looks more flattering to your skin.
  • People who have eyes that are blue, gray, or green and have blond, brown, or black hair have cool color undertone . Conversely, warm-toned women usually have brown, amber, or hazel eyes with strawberry blond, red, brown, or black hair.
NOTE: if you really cant tell whether you are a warm or cool  undertone and you are a mixture of both, then you are a neutral.

Here's a quiz that helps you to find out.
http://www.seventeen.com/fun/quizzes/beauty/skin-tone-quiz?click=main_sr

After knowing your under tone, you should know this too!!

Warm tones are usually yellow and golden.
Cool tones are usually pink and rose.

Now, after knowing your skin tone AND undertone, how do you find the foundation that suits your skin tone the most?

Well, some brands do label their products based on skin undertones but that's only a few!
For example, MAC is a brand that labels its foundation tones as the following:
N stands for neutral
C stands for cool
W stands for warm

If the foundation is not labeled in this way, then there are some words to look for!

Many makeup brands use these names for their products

IF this did not help you either, just look for the shades that you find best suiting you skin tone, pick two shades and try it to see which one works for you the best.

What about your clothes? Do you know what colors compliment warm or cool skin undertones?!
Here is the answer :)

I hope you enjoyed reading, byeeee!

Get Ready With me For a Party!

I hope everyone is doing well and is enjoying this super hot summer weather :D
We recently had a Henna party (it was so much fun and we danced alooooot) so that's when the idea of making a post about getting ready for such parties came to me.
I will share two looks of mine and explain them throughout this post.

First look

The dress:

when I saw this dress I fell in love with it! it's peachy color is so girly and soft. Moreover, sequin, glitter and lace dresses have been a huge trend this year so, you can see them in most of the stores.
Different styles of sequin and glitter dresses

And these are lace dresses. You can see that even celebrities wear them.

Accessories:

I wore  a few simple accessories because with the sequins the dress itself is an accessory.
If I wore a necklace with this dress, it would hide the beauty of the tulle on the chest so I did not wear any. ( you can also notice from the photo above that none of them wear a necklace.)
However, I wore these two beautiful statement earing since I laid my hair down. Statement earrings is another trend this year. There are various statement accessories like necklace, earing, rings and bracelets.

Statement earrings

It is very essential to not wear too much accessories with these type of dresses because the more simple you wear it the more the beauty of the dress would show.
So, I only wore few simple accessories. But if you want to give an edgy look to your outfit you can wear a bracelet like this.

Shoes:
( Don't you just love shoes? buying a new shoes makes my day) I wore a nude color wedge. Nude colors are great, its a MUST in every girl's closet because you can simply wear it with almost any color.

Bags:
Usually clutches are what goes along with party outfits. lately clutch box bags have became a trend, they are so gorgeous and comfortable because of their small sizes.

Makeup:
Motd makeup is what I went for!
Motd makeup have been a trend this two last years, and many celebrities do their makeup in this type.

Hair:
I just laid my hair as it because I have a very straight hair I did not have to iron it.

Second look

Dress:
This is the back of the dress

A long sleeves open back dress with sparkles and glitter.

Open back dresses have been always around and never gets old.

Accessories:

I just wore the necklace that came with it when I bought the dress, and a round ring that was somehow big.

Makeup:
I did a simple eyeliner makeup :)
This exact look ;)

Hair:
for the second look I wanted to make an easy updo so I did a donut bun

These are what you need

Bag and shoes are the same information as the first look :)
